Bible Study and Prayer Series
Every Tuesday, we study the book of Romans in the Common Room at 472 Church Street.
This is a time of learning and shared discussion of the text as it relates to Christian life. First-time participants always welcome.
Prayer Series
Prayer Series will begin October 1st, Wednesdays at 7:00 pm, alternating between St. Mary’s and Holy Trinity’s sanctuaries. Folks who work during the day are encouraged to join. Kids and youth with their parents welcome. This would be a good opportunity to invite friends interested in exploring Christian spirituality.
We will read the book Opening to God by David G. Benner, and during each session learn and practice a certain type of prayer: Lectio Divina, Prayer Beads, Compline, Centering Prayer, and the Morning and Evening Office, etc. We will decide as a group how many weeks we will go.
We will use the Expended Edition, available at Indigo and Amazon.
Please RSVP to my email tomhubschmid@gmail.com to receive communications.

Starting at Holy Trinity
Read to the end of “Preparing for the Divine Encounter”
Sunday School Returns with Children’s Moment!
Dear families, Sunday School will return on September 7th! Every Sunday, Marion Cobb will give a lesson in the Parish Hall based on the scripture readings of the day.
Before going to the Parish Hall, families are invited to gather with their kids in the church, and Rev. Tom will invite the Sunday School kids to come forward and sit on the sanctuary steps with him for a quick lesson about God (and who knows maybe there will be a little treat involved!!!).
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Call for Volunteers
Please consider adding your name to our weekly duty roster. We especially welcome new parishioners and can provide a bit of training as needed.
A reminder to Volunteers If you are usually on the duty roster and have a holiday planned, please let Kim Rogerson know asap so she can accommodate your schedule. Once the roster has been circulated, please find your own replacement if you can not make it to church.

We all have something to offer, and every gift is valued. We believe that when you give what you’re able to, there is food for all. With the support of donors like you, Food Banks Canada is able to provide to national support to Canadians struggling with food insecurity across the country.
A drop box is placed at the entrance of the church, ready to receive your valuable donation. From our ministry at St. Mary’s, we wish to take a special moment to offer our extended gratitude for your giving in these difficult times.
Music and Slideshow Volunteers
We could use another pianist for Sunday music. If you are interested in occasionally playing the piano on Sundays, please let Rev. Tom know.
We plan to re-introduce slide-projection in September. If you would be willing to operate the proctor and do set up and take-down—once a month—please let Rev. Tom know.
