Vigil of the Resurrection
May 18, 2019
We met in the worship space, lit candles, sang, prayed, recalled our baptism, and read and discussed the story of the disciples' encounter with Jesus on the road to Emmaus. We all learned something, and all enjoyed it (I think). YOU can check it out, too--I'll be leading this service every Saturday night from now till June 8th, inclusive, at 7 p.m. Why? Because it's still Easter, and that means we should be celebrating, and doing special things. If Christians used the term, I would say that the six weeks between Easter and Pentecost (which is on June 9th this year) are our High Holy Days. Let's celebrate them!
