Jesus’ Birthday and Christmas Tree Decorating Party
Sunday, December 5th
following the 10:30 service
Once again, we will be collecting gifts for Naomi’s Family Resource Centre. They operate a system where Mom’s get to pick a couple of gifts for their children and children get to pick a gift for their mom. They are in need of clothes and toys for all ages and sizes of children as well as gifts for the moms including things such as blow dryers and alarm clocks. A list of their other needs can be found by following the link at the bottom of this article.
This year we will also be decorating St. Mary’s Christmas tree. We are asking that each person or family (your choice) bring in a decoration on that day to put on the tree. It can be homemade or purchased, old or new. It can have your name on it or not. You can have it back when the tree comes down or you can leave it at the church for next year. (If you will want it back, please put something on it that indicates so or send me an email before the tree comes down telling me what decoration it is so that it doesn’t get packed away)
The plan is that this be a beautiful Christmas tree truly representing the whole congregation. Be Creative in your decoration choice.
We will be having a potluck lunch at this event. Hope to see you all there.
